The individual in this position will provide clinical expertise to assist in planning, implementation and evaluation of evidence-based clinical programs aimed to improve the health status of state employees and their families. The individual in this position must be able to provide analytical and clinical support in the delivery of MCHCP programs to ensure that the programs are well-designed and have appropriate outreach components.

Assists DCS with researching target populations and markets, as well as corporate and public wellness programs to determine effective incentives, behavior modification strategies and provide recommendations for incentive plan design options and solutions.
Assists with analyzing health risk demographic information and works with other Clinical Services Department staff to develop strategies which address these groups.
Assists DCS with creating effective health promotion, health education, and wellness-related media and messages using evidence-based clinical practices for the prevention and treatment of health conditions and co-morbidities.
Assists with annual clinical review of MCHCP Rules.
Assists DCS in development of best-practice and research-based parameters and objectives for population health activities and programs.
Assists with preparation of materials for Board meetings
Assists with preparing materials and presentations for the Strive for Wellness®Ambassador meetings; and to create Regional Reach and Outreach strategy and targets to carry out MCHCP initiatives, activities and events for a large and varied state employee population across Missouri. This may include drafting meeting summary notes, agendas, schedules, etc.
Assists Clinical Services Dietitian with internal MCHCP health education events.
Assists DCS with outreach to and collaboration with provider groups, medical and pharmacy benefit manager vendors, and MCHCP for the purpose of enhancing engagement by members and to make provider groups aware of anticipated medical plan changes that affect the population of our members they serve.
Performs other related duties as needed or assigned.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Possess knowledge of disease specific conditions and treatment.
Possess the ability to interpret scientific studies and translate medical science into practical advice.
Possess strong analytical and reporting skills and be able to review and interpret data to make recommendations to DCS.
Possess strong presentation skills.
Ability to take oral and written directions and then use independent judgment in accomplishing the required task.
Ability to establish, prioritize, organize and meet operational goals.
Ability to understand and apply provisions of legislation pertaining to the MCHCP and to exercise good judgment in applying general policies and procedures to specific situations.
Ability to serve as a productive team member, demonstrating a professional and positive attitude while establishing and maintaining excellent working relationships with coworkers, MCHCP management, MCHCP members and the general public.
Working knowledge of Windows and Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint; and the ability to develop spreadsheets and databases.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment and be able to quickly adapt to changes in the highly dynamic field of health care.
Ability and willingness to travel locally and regionally on a regular basis for business related purposes.
A Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing.
Must possess an active License to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Missouri through the Missouri State Board of Nursing or through another Nursing Licensure Compact state.
Minimum of five years full-time equivalent of direct nurse clinical care to the consumer (specific experience may include home care, discharge planning, rehabilitation, long term care, hospital patient care and surgical nursing); and two or more years of professional experience in health care administration, case management, population health management or closely related area are required.
