Database Administrator $26.809/hour (Minimum) $33.511/hour (Middle); $35.549/hour (Maximum) - Commensurate with Training and Experience The Information Technology Department of the City of Columbia is hiring a Database Administrator.
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or other closely related field is required.
Minimum of 5 years experience in Microsoft SQL Server database administration and software programming, including experience in original code development.
This position will work as a technical team leader to create database architecture and maintain the City's databases.
Develop and implement Database policies and procedures to ensure the security and integrity of the City's enterprise data architecture.
Duties include; regular maintenance, backup and recovery, performance optimization, creating and testing reports using SSRS or Crystal technologies.
Must have a strong understanding of Windows operating systems and various computer programming languages.
Must be able to administer the City's Microsoft SQL servers; oversee processes for security access and have familiarity with Visual Basic.Net, C#.
