CITY OF JAMESTOWN PART-TIME CHIEF OF POLICE
Part Time Chief of Police (25-35 hours per month) with the Jamestown Missouri Police Department promises to uphold the law and to adhere to the core values of the department: accountability, diversity, integrity, professionalism, and vigilance.
The responsibilities of Jamestown Chief of Police includes enforcing local, state, and federal laws; serving warrants; detaining suspects; testifying in court; investigating crimes and complaints from the public.
Part Time Chief of Police must be able to work effectively in stressful situations and communicate with others.
All police officers are expected to maintain suitable physical fitness and are generally expected to work holidays and most weekends.
Candidates for employment with the Jamestown Missouri Police Department must meet minimum eligibility requirements for consideration, which are outlined in further detail below:
is twenty one (21) years of age ? is a United States citizen
is the holder of a valid high school diploma or its equivalent
is a graduate of a Basic Law Enforcement Training Center
has passed the Missouri Peace Officer License Exam
has no criminal history as outlined in Section 590.080.1 and Section 590.100.1, RSMo.
Prospective applicants have at least six (6) months road experience to be considered for employment.
Candidates will be immediately disqualified from the process for felony convictions, misdemeanor convictions within the previous five years, or sex offense convictions.
Entry Level Salary: $11.00 hourly/negotiable.
